How Much Does Minecraft Cost On PC Or PS4?

Ah the silly game on Minecraft. Whether you want to play it on your PC, PS4, or Xbox the game is pretty darn fun. But how much does it cost? Check out this guide to check out the price of Minecraft for your PC, PS4, and even some other devices.

What is Minecraft?

Before we get into the price of Minecraft let’s first establish what Minecraft is. Minecraft is an open world game (it is pixelated) that you can build different things and mine for resources. It is a “sandbox” game, meaning that the player is basically free to do whatever they want to do and allows the player to deal and handle with certain situations how they see fit. Minecraft doesn’t have any objectives, but there are different modes the player can play. Let’s check them out:

Survival Mode:

Survival mode is just as it sounds; the point is to survive. You have to eat food to live, you have a health bar, and you also have to fight off monsters and bad guys an build a shelter for night time. You can build yourself armor and weapons to help you fight the monsters. If you die you lose all your inventory, but can pick it back up when you respawn in.

You also craft tools to help you mine resources. The resources go from sand all the way up to diamonds.

Hardcore Mode:

Hardcore mode is a little offshoot of survival mode. This mode has something called “permanent death” where the player loses everything they build and collected.

Adventure Mode:

Adventure mode is where you can play on other people’s custom maps that they’ve created. I have never personally played this mode, but it does have a pretty cool concept. You also play by the creators rules and restrictions.

Creative Mode:

Creative mode gives you unlimited resources and health. You can fly around the world and build whatever it is you want to do. People can build awesome things, like this awesome plane:

If you want to play Minecraft just to build stuff and play around, then you might enjoy creative mode.

Multiplayer Mode:

Multiplayer mode is probably the funnest Minecraft mode. You can either join someone’s server or make your own. Multiplayer allows you to play with your friends or total strangers on a server. Some servers allow you to play games with people. If yu create your own server you control the different features you can have. Multiplayer is one of the main reasons some people get Minecraft because it’s pretty fun to play with friends.

A cool thing about the multiplayer servers is that it has cross-platform servers, meaning that you can play with others who are using a different device than you. For example, if you are playing on your PS4 you can play with someone who is playing Minecraft on their PC.

Minecraft Mods

Minecraft is host to a bunch of different mods and skins for the game. Check out these sites for some cool mods and skins (some are free):
